​NAPLAN Online

Students at Cooktown P-12 State School  in Year 3, Year 5, Year 7 and Year 9 will be participating this year in the annual National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN).  This year, NAPLAN will be run online.  Online means that students will take the test online using computers at Cooktown P-12 State School.  The NAPLAN Online tests this year will run over the fortnight beginning Tuesday May 12, and will finish on Friday May 22.

All students in the Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 have been given the letter regarding NAPLAN (PDF, 719KB).

 Students who are absent for any of these tests are able to complete the tests during specified Catch-Up Sessions during the fortnight.

Withdrawal from NAPLAN Online

If any parents wish to withdraw their child from the NAPLAN Online tests for philosophical or religious reasons, they are to contact me as soon as possible and complete a Record of parent withdrawal form (available only at school, and to be completed with a Deputy Principal – either myself or Alison Martin – Deputy Principal, Primary).
