Health and Physical Education at Cooktown State School is a dynamic subject from the Prep to Year 12. Teachers encourage participation by all students in a variety of practical and theoretical learning experiences add to student’s enjoyment in the subject.
Our vision is to promote lifelong participation and knowledge in health and physical activity thorough a variety of innovative, enjoyable and high quality learning experiences.
The Health and Physical Education Department nurtures student’s talents to achieve their potential in a diverse range of sport and educational experiences. Through innovative programs delivered by highly motivated and experienced staff, students focus on fundamental skills which can lead to vocational links with industry and tertiary institutions.
