Dear Primary Parents and Carers,
These are certainly challenging times we live in. The idea of teaching students at home can be very intimidating to many parents especially those who may be working from home themselves.
However, I want to assure you that the teachers will be beside you all the way and will stay in contact with you as much as you need. So, please do not hesitate to call, email or ask questions via Class Dojo, whenever you need to.
The Primary school has delivered the first 2 weeks of work for Term 2 to all students via Australia Post. If you have not received these units of work, please check the Post Office as there are quite a few still waiting for pick up. If you do not have one at the PO, please contact the school from 9:00am Monday 20th April and we will organise access for you.
Some important things to note:
- Please ensure you sign the internet agreement document and return to the school as soon as possible.
- Sign up to Class Dojo (a free resource) on your computer, laptop, IPad, or phone. All the necessary information about Class Dojo is included in the packs we sent out during the holidays. You can use the chat function on Class Dojo to stay in touch with the teachers. Teachers will be uploading videos, photos and information to Class Dojo regularly.
- All students, even those of essential workers, will be doing the same workbooks pertaining to their year level. Every school day, teachers will be on Class Dojo uploading teaching ideas, videos and/or chatting to parents and students.
- Please be patient with the staff in the first week back as we navigate this new way of teaching and learning.
- When you have finished the first 2 weeks of work, please drop all the workbooks into the designated 'drop-box' (at the school, IGA or PO) so teachers can mark the work and give feedback to students.
- The next 3 weeks of work will be available to pick up from the school from Wednesday 29th April.
Kind Regards
Alison Martin (Deputy Principal – Primary)
