Congratulations to Mirindi Lane-Ritchie!
One of our high-flying academic superstars in Year 9, Mirindi Lane-Ritchie has been offered a place at digIT 2020!!!
Held at the University of Queensland in Brisbane in January 2020 and July 2020, digIT 2020 is a residential camp that focuses on algorithmic thinking by developing students' problem solving and coding skills, moving students from technology consumers to creators. Students will hear talks from prominent people in ICT, complete lab work, enjoy excursions and even have a party! Additionally Mirindi will be part of a six-month mentoring program that will give her the opportunity to connect with a successful ICT professional who will work with her to establish your personal goals. Only 60 secondary students from Queensland, Northern Territory and Northern NSW have been offered this opportunity, so this is a real tip of the hat to Mirindi! Congratulations and remember us when you are a big star in Silicon Valley!!!!
